3rd Avenue

PROFILE:

The 3rd avenue is a vocal/acoustic group composed of young professionals with a common passion for music. Versatile as they are, they embrace a wide range of music genre from ballads, pop, jazz, soul, R&B, OPM and many more. Their unique combination, piano-cakon-4 powerful voices, have never failed to enchant music lovers who come to see and hear them perform.

They treat their audience with their surprising ability to give-in to most of their requests by throwing together a long medley of their requested songs. What’s more, the dynamic and lively atmosphere on stage adds more life to their music.

These amazingly talented, experienced graduates of DLSU-CSB are professionals in their own right. Known for their impressive vocal harmony and diverse musical background, within the group are songwriters, industrial and graphic designers, athletes, composers, voice coaches, choirmasters, HR practitioners, vocal, choral and musical arrangers and session artists.

They have shared their music to some of the finest bars and restaurants in Metro Manila and have brought their music to a number of special occasions by request, including various events, weddings and other private and corporate functions.

3rd Avenue has won second place in 2004’s Necafeé De-wired 2 Acoustic Band Competition and Songwriting Contest. Two of their songs are included in the Necafeé De0wired 2 compilation album under Vicor Music Corporation.

They have also performed with Mr. Musikero, Jimmy Bondoc in several occasions. They hit the airwaves together in November 2005 on Wave 89.1FM. They have also appeared as guest performer in Jimmy’s “Undercovers: The Silent Hits” concert at the Music Museum the same month. They also performed back-to-back at Bagaberde Roxas Boulevard.
